Too Many Trainers: Year 5

Family and Friends,

You already know my story, because this is now my 5th Year fundraising for Brainstormin':

My 5th year sharing the emotions that go along with receiving a terminal cancer diagnosis, like the one my dad received for glioblastoma back in 2018.

My 5th year starting my fundraising efforts on National Glioblastoma Awareness Day, a type of brain tumor diagnosis that 14,490 Americans will receive in 2023, 10,000 will succumb to this year, and only 6.9 percent will reach the 5 year survival rate.

My 5th time reliving that pain and sadness experienced all along the courageous fight that ended after only 8 short months, which is the average length for survival (though everyone knows, my dad was anything but average).

My 5th time supporting Brainstormin' to bring hope for those going through a similar journey, whether it be brain tumors or any other type of cancer or illness. Together, we can move one step closer to finding a cure.

Year 5 also means a lofty goal has been set: Together, if we raise $5355, we will have raised $20,000 in just 5 years for the Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance. And for that, I know my father would be, and continues to be, so, so proud of us all.

Thank you in advance for your continued support, your generous donations of any size, for attending the event alongside me, and for caring about this cause as much as I do, even if you have not experienced it yourself. We are truly stronger together.
