Hi Everyone! May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month and I'm hoping to get your support in this years Path of Hope fundraiser walk. My team will be walking this event on May 10th and it would be awesome to band together a group as this will be a fun day to get out, support and honor my fellow survivors. I was nominated by my health care team for my indomitable spirit and determination throughout my medical journey. I am being honored in CTBA's Stories of Strength Wall and it would mean the world to me having you there! For those that don't know my story, I was diagnosed with an atypical meningioma in my left frontal lobe this past January 2024. I had suffered with symptoms for years and had many visits to doctors where I was told nothing was wrong with me and that it was all in my head.. funny cause it totally was haha. I had a seizure in early January that led me to a brain scan that revealed my tumor. I was transported to Yale where I underwent resection surgery. The top surgeon at Yale Dr. Moliterno had a last minute cancelation and was able to do my surgery right away. Her and her team were phenomenal and my surgery was successful. I had quite a long recovery but I am proud to say I am back and feeling stronger than ever! I have since been tumor free and looking forward to celebrating on this special day. Please help me support Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance by making a contribution to my fundraiser and or sharing this page with your family and friends to join this event. Every dollar I raise will advance Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too. Together, we can make a difference!
