I am a brain tumor survivor. In 2009, I was diagnosed with a Juvenile Pilocytic Astrocytoma, a benign brain tumor that required three brain surgeries over the course of three years—two in 2009 and one in 2012. Those years were some of the most challenging for me and my family, but they also taught me, from a young age, the true strength of community, hope, and perseverance.
I’m incredibly grateful to share that my most recent MRI in 2025 was stable, marking 13 years in remission. Because of that journey, this cause is deeply personal to me.
This year, I am proud to walk as part of Team Cusano in support of the Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance (CBTA). CBTA provides critical support, education, and advocacy for brain tumor patients, survivors, and their families—and I’m honored to help make a difference alongside them.
If you’d like to join me in the walk, you can register to join Team Cusano!
If you’re unable to walk with us, I invite you to support my journey by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar raised helps advance CBTA’s vital mission and supports individuals and families who are currently facing their own brain tumor journey.
