My mom is my best friend so you can imagine the absolute terror when we found out in late January 2023 that she had a brain tumor and it needed to be removed... immediately. Less than 48 hours later, she endured an almost 8 hour surgery to remove most of the tumor. And while it was "benign" there is really no such thing when you're talking about a brain tumor.
Since then, this stupid, tiny remainder of the tumor has caused swallowing issues, persistent nausea and vomiting, balance issues, walking and coordination issues, fatigue, eye problems, and more. My mom can't do all the things she used to and frankly, it sucks. But she is fighting like hell to get back to her more active self and I cannot convey how proud I am of her!
Last year, we learned about the CTBTA and all of the amazing support resources they provide to people living with a brain tumor and their families. I can't personally image what my mom is going through but I know that I can do everything in my power to make sure that she and others just like her have the support they need to live a good quality of life until we figure out a damn cure!
Please help me support Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too.
Together, we can make a difference! Thank you for your support!
