In December 2019, just two days after Christmas, my husband Evan had a seizure that led to the discovery of a brain tumor. Within days he was in surgery to remove the tumor which we later found out was diagnosed as cancerous. Evan worked hard after surgery in inpatient rehab to gain back lost speech and motor functioning, and has since undergone radiation and is currently going through chemotherapy. The support of organizations such as the CTBTA is one of the reasons we continue to stand tall and strong.
