Help me support the Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance this year as it hosts its 11th annual Brainstormin' event at Stony Creek Brewery on Thursday, September 12th!
A brain tumor diagnosis is scary and unexpected. Our journey began earlier this year when Corey was diagnosed with a large cystic lesion and a small, benign tumor in his cerebellum. Thanks to world class care at Yale New Haven, he has recovered from a successful surgery. But even more importantly, after recovery, we looked for ways to raise awareness and give back. That is when we found the CTBTA! They are such a tremendous organization and do a great job helping Connecticut residents who face this unexpected situation. Anything you can do to help goes a long way for those who need it most.
The CTBTA has awarded almost $2 million to support brain tumor patients and their families through research, patient assistance, and patient and caregiver outreach programs. These dollars are awarded to the various brain tumor centers in Connecticut to support our vision of making Connecticut a center of excellence in brain tumor care.
