In 2024, I was diagnosed with a small, benign brain tumor. Fortunately, thanks to an amazing medical team at Yale New Haven and an incredible support system, I was able to undergo a successful surgery to remove the tumor and get back to life and work after a short recovery. But for far too many, a brain tumor diagnosis flips their life upside down. It presents a whirlwind of challenges with questions and too many unknown answers. That is why this event is so important. While a brain tumor was not in my plans, it gave me a new outlook on life that I am grateful for, as well as the chance to be involved with such a great organization and event.
