Samantha’s journey began in June 2026. An avid gym goer and healthy lifestyle enthusiast, Samantha was in the midst of exercising when she had her first seizure. She had turned 30 two weeks prior.
Finding out she had a brain tumor stunned her. She was young, took pride in taking care of her health, and was a mom to a three and a half year old and an 8 month old. How could this be happening to her?
The following days and weeks revolved around hospital visits, brain imaging, second and third opinions, surgery, rehab, and neuro-oncology consults. A daunting path that Samantha took in stride.
Since her craniotomy and glioma resection on July 7th, Samantha remains steadfast in her recovery. She is determined to regain her strength and independence. Her children, Isabella and Liam, are her primary motivators. Everything she does is for them. Samantha has shown incredible grit in her healing process. Impressing her care team with her attitude and resolve to get better everyday. Samantha’s mentality is, the only way is through.
With the care of her doctors, therapists, fiance, children, family, and friends, Samantha has shown incredible strength, courage, and positivity.
