Six years ago, my father lost his three-year battle with glioblastoma. His memory is the reason Team Schiffer returns to Brainstormin' each year, and the reason I serve on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance, working to turn our family's loss into hope for others. In the past year alone, the CTBTA directed $255,000 to Connecticut hospitals, Healing Meals, and programs supporting brain tumor patients and their caregivers across the state.
