My fantastic wife, Tracey Gamer-Fanning, was a cofounder of the Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance (CTBTA), patient advocate for the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), tireless champion of the proper treatment and care of not only cancer patients, but all patients.
She was mother to Mitch and Shaye, step-mother to Abbie, Julia and Hannah - my wife and partner and best friend. She has given so much after so much was taken away, living 12+ years instead of the three that she was told to expect.
Her legacy continues, the CTBTA has helped hundreds of families and thousands of people all across Connecticut. New warriors have come to continue the fight and current ones (such as myself and the board of the CTBTA) move forward with events such as these.
Tracey's lucky number was 27 - if you can, please donate $27 in her honor as we continue with Brain Tumor Awareness month in May and our Path of Hope as well. Just a little bit goes a long way.
We plan on walking too - mostly likely in Elizabeth Park where part of her rests - so please feel free to join me this May 23rd in honor of her, my wife, Tracey :)
