My 2022 Playing for the Cure: Brainstormin' Fundraising Page

Katie Trainer

Too Many Trainers Year 4

Without warning, my dad's life (and that of everyone who loved him) changed forever when he was diagnosed with a glioblastoma tumor in May 2018. Without a cure, we made the most of our time together regardless of the effects of this relentless stage four cancer. Throughout his fight, he always stayed positive, right down to his gentle nature and sense of humor. After 8 difficult months battling brain cancer, my dad found peace in January 2019.

My father was always proud of me for my fundraising efforts in education. This fundraiser, however, is for him, for advancing research in this area, and for moving closer to never having to tell another family that cancer is incurable. This is my fourth year fundraising for Brainstormin', and it feels fitting to make this our biggest effort yet-- $5000, which is actually only $905 more than last year. I am so thankful for my friends and family for your support! Together, we can make a difference.

Please help me support Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too.
